If you buy a ready-made travel first aid kit you can guarantee that many items in there you wouldn’t end up needing, such as a sling or reams and reams of varying sizes of bandages.
To get the perfect first aid kit you really need to tailor make it to your own family needs considering where it is you’re going to.
Below is a list of what I believe makes up the perfect first aid travel kit to help cope with any holiday mishaps that could easily occur.
Antihistamines – these are designed to relieve reactions either allergic or from insect bites and are a real must for any first aid kit.
Plaster – in varying sizes these will always be handy from minor grazes to rubbing flip flops.
Antiseptic wipes – these are good for cleaning up cuts and grazes to prevent infection.
Pain killers – from headaches to mild pain these are always good to have in your kit.
Diarrhoea relief tablets/sachets – if you are unlucky enough to get food poisoning then these may prove essential if travelling around.
