Do you long for your holiday abroad?

Although some of us have been fortunate enough to jet away on holiday this year there are those that are still reluctant to venture far from the UK due to fear of infection, lack of funds in case of needing to self-isolate abroad or other reasons. Most people use their annual holiday as a way to relax and recharge their batteries so without this opportunity there will inevitably an increase in stress and possibly a rise in the number of days off work due to illness. So, how can we look after our mental health and wellbeing at this current time whilst we are unable to resort to our usual way of recharging our batteries?
There are some simple steps that we can take which may seem inconsequential but can improve our mental outlook. The first two issues are eating a healthy diet and getting enough sleep. These are important aspects when it comes to promoting good mental health. Research has shown that these two things along with plenty of exercise can be beneficial to our emotional wellbeing and help us to focus on the positive aspects of our lives.
Trying to get outdoors as much as possible is another way in which we can improve our wellbeing, and if the sun is shining all the better. A walk in the sun, planning our next break away will help to boost our mood and look forward to better times.
