Changes to travel post Brexit you should know about

Since the UK left the European Union, freedom of movement has ended for Brits and travel rules amongst others have changed. It is important to be aware of these changes if you intend travelling to one of the European countries as you could be refused entry at the airport if you do not have the correct documentation.
One of the big issues for some people is that now passports are required to have at least six months before they expire at the time of travel. Although a visa is not at the moment required there are visa waiver schemes coming in that will mean travellers incur a small fee. The amount of time that you can stay in the EU has been reduced so it is worth checking the rules for the area you want to stay in to see what their regulations are.
For the majority of people driving in EU countries will not change except UK residents have to have a Green Card from their insurance provider. A GB sticker will be required if the vehicle number plate does not have a GB identifier on it. If you intend driving through multiple countries it is best to check whether each country has slightly different requirements such as having to carry certain equipment in case of a breakdown.
