How to prepare for a holiday after lockdown

- May
If you have been eager to get away then this week will be the first step towards getting away. Borris has now given the go ahead for holidays to a limited number of destinations. There are only a handful of countries that are currently on the green list but this is always changing so it is important to keep checking.
Even when travelling to and from a country in the green list you will still have to take Covid tests. Many countries are only letting you in if you have had a negative Covid test within 72 hours of flying. When returning to the UK you will also have to have a negative test within 72 hours of arriving back. You may also need to take another one two days after you have arrived back. You will have to pay for these tests which can be upwards of £50 each.
Make sure that you have insurance in place and although you may be keen to get away as soon as possible, it is important that you still get everything set up correctly.
As you may be jetting of last minute, be sure to double check you have packed everything you need and that you have done your research on rules relating to Covid in your chosen destination.
