Over time the tradition of going on holiday has changed. Historically, holidays were a time to go away with your family and spend time bonding together but over the last few decades, for some, holidays have changed. Many families now have a couple of holidays within a year, some with immediate family and then often another with friends.
With families with younger children often needed a different type of holiday to those of a adult holiday I can see how it makes sense to do both. Going on a family holiday can allow you to tailor the holiday to your children’s needs and wants and having another holiday for you and your partner or you and your friends will mean that you also get time doing what you enjoy. Some people do not agree with going away without your children but I think it can be healthy fo a family to have time together and apart.
