Christmas holidays

Christmas holidays are becoming very popular with families choosing to go away over the Christmas and New Year period. Depending on what type of holiday you want, there is a wealth of places to visit. Scotland, for example is perfect for those wishing to experience a truly winter holiday and you may even be lucky and have some snow.
I went away for Christmas when I was younger and stayed in a beautiful cottage in north Scotland. We had an open fire, games room and the run of the house and gardens. It was ideal as we went with another family and so everyone had plenty of room to spread out.
Some people do not like the idea of going away over the festive period, but if you have not tried it before I would recommend it to anyone, you could even ask your close family if they wanted to holiday with you so you still get to enjoy having the family close by during this special time.
